Biographical Sketch

Dr. Jordan received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2021. Dr. Jordan joined the faculty at LSU in FALL 2026 following a postdoctoral appointment at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and a faculty appointment at Illinois State University College of Engineering. Dr. Jordan’s teaching philosophy includes classroom engagement, practice-based learning, mentorship and continuous evolution through professional development. Dr. Jordan is trained in orthopaedic and biomechanical research, with a specific focus on prevalent musculoskeletal disorders of the hand and wrist, such as osteoarthritis. Dr. Jordan uses experimental and computational methods to understand how these musculoskeletal disorders impact biomechanical function and to ideate noninvasive treatment methods for functional restoration.
