The Fall Career Expo is LSU’s largest recruiting event of the year and is open to students and alumni of all majors. This year’s event drew 2,448 students and 900 employer representatives representing more than 250 companies.

Current pipeline monitors detect leaks without identifying the escaping gas, creating a blind spot that can delay emergency responses and endanger communities. A new LSU system uses unique fiber-optic sensor coatings to tell the difference between carbon dioxide, nitrogen, methane and ordinary air flow, as well as humidity. The sensors could slash millions from monitoring, repairs and leak prevention costs.
