At the Cain Department of Chemical Engineering at Louisiana State University, we are a leader in research, teaching, and service in a field that is crucial to the economy of the Gulf South. Our academics is the largest and most active chemical engineering department at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the state. With international recognition for contributions to chemical engineering research, education, service and "commendation for excellence" in our doctoral program from the previous review by the Board of Regents.
