Global Engagement Awards

Celebrating LSU's Global Impact

Research that crosses borders. Teaching that opens new perspectives. Service that connects communities. The Global Engagement Awards honor LSU faculty, staff and students whose work advances international collaboration and learning.

Presented annually by the Office of Global Engagement, the awards celebrate achievement across campus and around the world.

Eligibility & Selection

Faculty. Full-time LSU A&M faculty employed at nomination and when the award is presented.

Staff. Individual LSU A&M staff members employed at nomination and when the award is presented. Office of Global Engagement employees are not eligible. Contributions should exceed routine position expectations.

Students. LSU A&M students enrolled during the nomination period and in good standing. Students graduating before the ceremony remain eligible for work completed while enrolled.

A nominee may be considered in one category per year. Previous recipients may not receive the same award during the next five award cycles. Previous nominees may be nominated again. Nominations for student awards only may include self-nominations.

An Office of Global Engagement–appointed committee reviews nominations for demonstrated results, mutual benefit, lasting contributions, relevance to LSU's mission, and responsible practice. Evidence is considered in relation to the nominee's role and experience. The Office of Global Engagement makes the final selections and may withhold an award if no nomination meets the criteria.

Recipients will be announced in spring 2027.
