* US Students usually have an application fee of $50 at LSU ($75 for applications after 15 May), but these fees are automatically paid for you by the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
**We recognize that applicants from some countries may find it financially difficult to pay the application fee. We have limited funds to cover the application fee for international students with demonstrable need. If you believe yourself to be one of such applicants, please complete (including all recommendation letters and transcripts/degree certificates) and submit your application in the online portal. Then you can write to the chair of the graduate admissions committee, pagradchair@lsu.edu, and request the fee waiver, explaining (in no more than one paragraph) your circumstances. If we are able to satisfy your request, we will review your files and provide you with a waiver of the application fee. Note that the funds for this are limited, and therefore we may not be able to satisfy all such requests: country of residence of the applicant and specific circumstances will be a part of our decision making process.
***The Medical Physics master's degree program does not accept students starting in the spring term. The reason is that we have a specific sequence of courses, and this starts in the fall semester.
